The beautiful, one-of-a-kind, about 6½" [165mm] tall, original, signed, hand carved rapoko (soapstone) nativity sets by the Shona sculptor Richard Banda, Harare, Zimbabwe. These beautiful examples of African talent and art are unique in that no two sets or pieces are the same, however, similar the style and size. Ideal gift for the collector.

Admired by Picasso and many other artists and sculptors, many critics view Shona sculptors to be the world’s current era of greatest rock artists and sculptors. Usually selling for around $350 in the USA and Europe, we are able to offer them at moderate prices by contracting directly with Mutoti and Banda at prices. The sets are unique and exclusive and only available from our nonprofit.

Many of the individual pieces are signed or initialled by Banda. A notarized Certificate of Authenticity and Origin that also includes artist picture and short résumé with assessed value for insurance purposes notarized by a professional geologist. NB The nativity sets are very popular and in great demand by collectors. They are often sold out; the number available will read backordered instead of a quantity when that happens.
