You will be proud to own or gift a beautiful Rhinoceros Verdite sculpture carved from the planet's oldest known rock formation by various Shona fine art sculptors, Chitungwezi, Zimbabwe. The sculptor paid incredible attention to detail from the snout (nostrils), mouth, eyes, ears, skin folds, paws, mane, and tail that will not disappoint. All the sculptures are exceptionally well-finished and finely detailed in proportion and to scale. Prices vary according to the reputation of the sculptor and the quality (grade) of the stone that varies from collector's grade pure mottled green (very rare today) through green streaked with honey to pure honey-colored. Most sculptures are not collector's grade green today as the deposit is almost completely worked out and thoroughly picked over.
The 5" [125mm] shown in the generic picture (another view here) sells for more than $200 in USA, EU, and Asian art galleries. A professional geologist has notarized the certificate of authenticity, origin, and appraised value for each individual sculpture that is available for a small additional charge and recommended for insurance purposes.
