African talent and ingenuity combines to bring you the lead-free East African banana fiber giraffe decoration or toy from Kisii, Kenya. Hand made in three nominal sizes (2¾" [70mm], 3½" [85mm], and 4" [100mm]) tall by Tamokcub co-op members. The giraffes make an interesting gift for the toy or animal collector or a child's toy. Full description of the smallest giraffe (A) in the generic photograph. Banana fiber tightly wrapped on a wire frame forms the giraffe. The detail of the finished animal is very creative and unique to these Kenyan artists. The natural vegetable fiber animal is an environmentally friendly decoration or (lead-free) toy made from natural sustainable materials with the 2¾" size selling for more than $10 in USA organic (natural product), toy, and home décor stores! We are able to offer them at moderate prices by contracting directly with the crafters at fair trade prices.
The photographs are generic as no two giraffes are identical being crafted by hand from natural vegetation fiber that varies in color. However, we guarantee you will be very satisfied with your purchase! In the generic photograph A = 2¾", B = 3½", and C = 4". Pictures A and B show the left and rigt sides of a typical 2¾" giraffe, respectively.
NB The animals are very popular and in great demand by toy collectors and sell out quickly. When that happens, the number available will read backordered instead of a quantity. A giraffe of similar size and design can be ordered (click on the backordered link for details) and usually takes four to eight weeks. If backorder not wanted, remove the item/s from the shopping cart or at checkout.
