The color of the stone is grey and when polished it has a beautiful high gloss finish and turns from grey to black with the application of wax. The tusks are carved from sun dried cattle bone to look like real ivory.Not many artists carve this medium and consequently sculptures in Wonderstone are rare and highly prized by discerning art collectors. The signed piece comes with a certificate of origin and authenticity.
